Terms of Service
The basic rules of working with Meridian Window Cleaning, in plain English.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms cover any residential or commercial window cleaning service you book with Meridian Window Cleaning LLC (“Meridian,” “we,” “us”) in Chester County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas we serve. By scheduling a service, you agree to these terms.
2. What we do
We provide residential and commercial exterior and interior window cleaning using a pure-water system, along with related services like screen, frame, track, and sill cleaning. Recurring maintenance plans are also available.
3. Estimates & quotes
Estimates are free and, when possible, confirmed on-site before any work begins. Every quote is firm — the price we tell you at the start is the price you pay at the end, unless you request additional services during the visit and we agree on the added cost together in writing (a text message counts).
4. Payment
Payment is due after the job is completed and after we’ve walked the property with you (or a designated household member) to confirm every window meets the standard we promised. We do not collect a deposit up front. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at time of booking (typically cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, or credit card).
5. Outstanding balances
We reserve the right to refuse or delay new service if a previous invoice remains unpaid. If a billing question comes up, call us — we’d rather work it out than turn anyone away. But we won’t book new appointments while an outstanding balance is on the books.
6. Our workmanship guarantee
If a window isn’t right, we come back at no additional charge until it is. Just call us within 48 hours of the completed service. This guarantee covers our cleaning workmanship; it does not cover new dirt or water spots caused by weather, sprinklers, birds, or other outside factors after the walkthrough.
7. What we can and can’t fix
Not every window can be brought back to perfect. Certain conditions live on or inside the glass itself and cannot be removed by cleaning, including:
- Sealed-unit fog and condensation between the panes of double-pane windows.
- Hard-water etching from long-term sprinkler contact.
- Permanent oxidation, staining, or mineral bonding on aged glass.
- Scratches, chips, cracks, and pitting.
- Paint overspray, silicone smears, and construction-debris damage.
- Warped, rotted, or damaged frames, tracks, sashes, or screens.
We do the very best work we can on every pane. If we spot something that can’t be improved through cleaning, we’ll point it out before you pay and explain what’s happening. Our workmanship guarantee covers our cleaning — it doesn’t cover pre-existing damage that cleaning can’t undo.
8. Weather policy
Weather affects what we can do safely and well. Meridian may reschedule an appointment for any of the following:
- Active rain — dirty runoff from gutters, roofs, or trees during rain leaves spots we can’t control.
- High winds — unsafe for carbon-fiber reach poles at height.
- Freezing or near-freezing temperatures — pure water freezes on the glass and on our equipment.
- Severe weather alerts — thunderstorms, hail, warnings from the National Weather Service.
When we reschedule for weather, you’ll hear from us as early as possible on the day of the visit. We move you to the next available slot at no charge, and you are never billed for a weather-canceled visit.
9. Scheduling
Meridian schedules exterior cleanings roughly between April and October, when temperatures are consistent enough for the pure-water system to work at its best. During the winter months we’re on pause for exterior work — reach out any time and we’ll add you to the spring schedule.
10. Cancellations & rescheduling
You can cancel or reschedule any appointment at no charge with more than 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time are subject to a 35% cancellation fee based on the original quoted price of the job. This covers the crew time and slot we blocked off for you that we can no longer fill on short notice.
11. Access to your property
You are responsible for ensuring we can safely access the exterior of the home (unlocked gates, pets secured, sprinklers off) and, for interior work, for being present or arranging access. Meridian is not responsible for delays caused by lack of access.
12. Property care & damage
We treat every property with the same care we’d give a friend’s. In the rare event that our work causes damage, notify us within 48 hours and we’ll make it right — either through repair, replacement, or coverage under our commercial general liability insurance policy. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage (broken seals, cracked glass, rotted trim, loose screens, failing paint, etc.); if we notice anything questionable before we start, we’ll bring it to your attention.
13. Personal property & valuables
When we work inside your home, we take care around your belongings — but we do not handle, move, or take responsibility for personal property, valuables, cash, jewelry, art, electronics, collectibles, or other items that aren’t part of the window itself. If you’d like something secured, moved out of the way, or covered during interior service, please do so before we arrive. Meridian is not responsible for lost, misplaced, damaged, or stolen personal property.
14. Insurance
Meridian carries commercial general liability insurance. A certificate of insurance (COI) is available on request before your first job.
15. Communication & consent
By providing your phone number when you contact us, you agree that we may call or text you about your estimate, scheduling, and follow-up service. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Chester County, Pennsylvania.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Any changes apply only to services booked after the update date.
